The Open Glider Network (OGN) was originally designed as a tracking system for gliders and sailplanes. Over the years more products have started feeding into the OGN system including devices used by Paraglider and Hang Glider pilots.
The OGN has a devices database that links OGN hex ID numbers e.g. A1B2C3 to aircraft registrations such as ZK-ABC. It also includes a 2 or 3 letter competition number. But this can not be used easily to link an ID to a persons name, or anything else.
PureTrack includes the ability to link OGN hex IDs to names instead of aircraft. We've made this data freely available to download, so other apps and devices may link hex ID numbers to a more useful label.

The 6 digit hexidecimal OGN device ID
A label or label chosen by the user
Multiple devices might point to the same label. The ID is a Label ID to identify which labels are actually the same person or aircraft. In the example above, there are 3 Jane labels, two of them are the identical person as identified by the 763. The other is a different Jane.
PureTrack types are an extension of the OGN types. A full list of types can be found at https://puretrack.io/types.json
